Leaders Learn Here
The Leadership Focus offered as an option in our online or on campus Master of Science in Criminology degree is designed for students who are currently in leadership positions within their organization, or are working to grow their career and enter a leadership role. This focus requires three classes (9 credit hours) substituted for existing MSCR courses, and can be completed online or in-person at one of Regis University’s convenient campus locations.
Pursuing a focus area like leadership within criminology provides students with an opportunity to fortify expertise in a particular area within criminology and strengthens marketability to future employers. Once the Master of Science in Criminology with a Leadership Focus is completed, graduates will be prepared to take on careers that involve governing nonprofit organizations; demonstrating ethical leadership, conflict resolution and effective communication; and mobilizing followers to operate under the leader’s strategy and action plan.
Careers in criminology leadership are as wide-ranging as the field of criminology itself. Graduates may find jobs in leadership roles in criminal justice agencies; federal, state and local government; non-profit organizations; legal foundations; political entities; social and human services agencies and private corporations.
